An Unforgettable Hot Air Balloon Experience

We take you to the European Balloon Festival in Igualada. Held in the first fortnight of July, it’s one of Europe’s major hot air balloon events and attracts participants from the world over. Over 40 balloons take part, flying morning and evening over the four-day festival. You join the festival on the final evening and join the farewell flight on the morning of the next day. The festival includes an evening concert, theatre events, and a night glow, where the balloons are inflated on the ground, lighting up like lanterns.

You stay wonderful, modern boutique hotel in town with an award-winning restaurant (your evening meal is included).

Balloon Festival Itinerary

On the first day, you arrive at lunchtime and can spend the afternoon at the festival or explore Igualada, before that evening’s flight. As it’s the festival’s last evening there is a party and concert to enjoy after dinner.

You are up early the next morning for your balloon flight, where you’ll see the sunrise over the Mediterranean and get spectacular views of Montserrat mountain, the Pyrenees, and on a clear day the island of Mallorca. What makes this flight so special, is sharing the skies with the whole group of balloons, which is an unforgettable experience.

After your flight, we take you to a masia restaurant to enjoy a hearty Catalan brunch and celebrate over a glass or two of Cava, before returning to Barcelona.
